A PRACTICAL LOOK AT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
While most believers are interested in being used in the ‘gifts of the Spirit’ it must be noted that God will not use a believer in the ‘gifts’ if He is unable to manifest his personality, fruit of the Spirit, through them. Therefore it is very important that all believers have a good basic understanding of the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.

GOD HAS A BETTER IDEA
We all go through life endeavoring to live up to our family’s expectations of us and hopefully rising above the level expected of us. However, the plan God has for our lives is much better than we can imagine and we should strive to find his plan and LIVE IT.

WASTED PRAYERS
Far too many of our prayers are a waste of our time because there are some prayers that God just will not ‘pay attention’ to because they are not according to his will. Any petition that we bring to him in prayer that is not in accordance with His Word is a waste of our time.

Give God Something To Work With
Far too many believers are not receiving answers to their prayers because they are not completing their petitions. They ask and they believe but they are not adding works to their prayers.
James 2:20 says "Faith without works is dead." It is important that we add works to our faith so that God can honor our petitions.

Amazing or Amusing
"And immediately he arose, took up his bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, 'We never saw it on this fashion'" -Mark 2:12. Dr. Ellis is concerned about the lack of amazing healings and answers to prayer that have always been so much a part of the church. Has the church become so good at what it does that it no longer needs the anointing of the Holy Spirit?
